There are two separate and self contained studio apartments at 55a North Road – booking both makes it a great base for bigger groups taking short breaks together.

The ground floor

Over size twin beds, plenty of space and easy access to the private garden.

The upper floor

A king size bed, leather sofa and the intimacy and charm of a boutique hotel.

Kitchens

The kitchens on both floors are well equipped for simple catering although, of course, B&B guests can look forward to their sumptuous breakfast.

Shower rooms

Robes, plenty of fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries are all provided in the pristine shower rooms.

The sleek and elegant styling throughout both floors is both practical and luxurious.

Location

55a is located in a peaceful spot on the South edge of Bath, a stone’s throw from countryside which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and yet less than one and a half miles from the City centre. A walk to the centre of town takes a realistic 20 – 25 minutes but about three quarters of a mile of the way home is uphill. A taxi costs £6 – £7 and we are on a good bus route.

There are shops, a deli and cafe, a great chippy and a pub which serves good food in Combe Down Village. The National Trust’s Prior Park Landscape Gardens are just round the corner where you can hop on or off one of Bath’s open top bus sightseeing tours.
